The Supporters Club would like to pass on their congratulations to the Keighley Albion Ladies RL Team who this week became the newest member of the Cougar Park Family , rebranding under the Keighley Cougars name for the 2020 Women’s RL Championship Season.
The Team has been for several seasons wonderfully supported by the Albion Amateur Club seeing them them lift the League one title in October after defeating Cutsyke in the final at Manchester Sports Village . However under RFL Rules , the teams aspirations of to move further up the League Structure, with the ultimate goal playing in the Womens Super League Competition cannot be achieved without the support of a Professional Club.
Many of the KCSC membership were regulars spectators at Crossflatts supporting the Ladies on ‘ Cougar Free Sundays ‘during their successful 2019 campaign and we look forward to extending that following on their move to Cougar Park .
The Team are looking to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season and an open trial is planned (for both experienced players and those wanting to take up a new sport ) starting at 7pm on Wednesday, December 4 at Cougar Park.
